The ATEN CL6700 is a high-performance, 1U rack-mountable single-rail LCD console designed to bring full front-end access to servers and KVM switches while conserving valuable rack space. Engineered for environments like server rooms, data closets, and network hubs, it combines a high-resolution LED-lit LCD display, integrated keyboard, and precise touchpad into one sleek sliding chassis that recesses neatly when not in use.

Two versions are available: the CL6700MW, which features a 17.3″ Full HD widescreen display (1920 × 1080 @ 60 Hz), and the CL6700N, which offers a 19″ DVI display (1280 × 1024 @ 75 Hz). The console panel is designed with intelligent clearance spacing on top and bottom, ensuring smooth slide-in and slide-out operation without interfering with rack-mounted components. The integrated LED illumination light casts soft glow over the keyboard and touchpad—ideal for dim or windowless racks.

True flexibility is built-in: the CL6700MW supports HDMI, DVI, and VGA connections to the KVM port, and also includes matching outputs for an external console. The CL6700N supports DVI and VGA. In both models, a front-panel USB port allows a user to connect a spare mouse or USB peripheral quickly, while standard rear USB and video ports support a secondary external console setup—great for working in tight quarters.

A high-quality, 105-key keyboard ensures compatibility across platforms, with built-in Sun keyboard emulation. The touchpad doubles as a pointing device, and the console supports multilingual key layouts. Compatibility extends across major operating systems—Windows, Linux, macOS, Sun—making it suitable for mixed-environment installations.

Smart video handling features such as DDC emulation automatically manage display resolutions to match connected systems. The console lock secures the drawer during transport or weekly maintenance, and firmware updates can be applied from within the rack via a dedicated RJ-11 port. Audio support is included with dual mini-jacks to connect speakers, transforming the console into a complete monitoring station.

Setup is intuitive: pull the panel forward, link video and USB cables to a compatible KVM switch, power on, and choose your connection via hotkey. No additional software is required. Optional easy-install rack kits are available for single-person mounting—a helpful feature in tight spaces. The console is firmware-upgradeable, ensuring compatibility with future KVM priorities and improved controls.

The CL6700 is built for rugged, daily use. It draws modest power from a universal AC input (100–240 VAC) and is rated for typical datacenter environments (0–50 °C, 0–80% non-condensing humidity). The metal chassis is durable, supports easy depth adjustment within racks, and includes standard rack-mount kits.
